  Forced 18% gratuity on all tables (not just large tables) for Oilier games when no other bar (I have been to) is doing this. I informed the manager that it feels like there are trying to squeeze out profit for the Oilers 2017 playoff run. I decided to stay anyway and give it a chance. When my bill didn't add up to what it should have, I let the waitress know. A few moments later the manager came over to our table and shouted "You have been a pain in my ass all night, don't ever come back." After some more commotion they eventually fixed the bill and I paid up. I have to give my experience 1 star because the manager was a hot-head and very unfriendly to me. To perfectly fair, here is full review: Food: 3/5 (Original Joe's is a 5/5) Event Viewing: 4/5 (Schanks is a 5/5) Waitress: 4/5 (most waiters/waitresses in the city are great and deserve tips) Management: 0/5 (anywhere else is better) Atmosphere: 3/5 (The Pint is a 5/5) My recommendation to bar goers: go somewhere else, there are so many better options to watch your events. My recommendation to the management: try to focus on getting as many people packed in to your bar for events, rather than squeezing the dollars out a half full pub. If your pub is half full, then try really hard to get repeat customers. Jox has been around for many years, so its up to the management to keep it going. Apparently, I'm not supposed to come back to Jox now (a place that I have been many times in the past 20 years). Hopefully, the management can invite me back by responding to this post someday.

  I have gone here with my volleyball team on several occasions after games . However , due to there being an oilers game there was no tables available. So after no service we went to the lounge and scrounged together a few tables to sit in the lounge. After a 10 minute wait the waitress strolls over and gives us a snotty attitude right from the start . Before even saying hi she snaps with a "tables of 5 have an automatic 18% gratuity and we won't split the bill." After I tried to explain to her that we are here for the promotion they offer through my league, she flat out says no we don't honor that during oilers games. So I agree and so OK I'm fine with not getting the promotion they offer and the automatic gratuity even though she has already shown poor service but I ask if she can please split the bill for us. After saying she will be right back she returns 10 minutes later with a bouncer who then treats us like criminals for asking for a split bill and tells us to leave if we don't like it. By far the most disrespectful establishment I have ever been to. With this kind of service it's no wonder they need to charge the tip automatically. Avoid this place like the plague. There's a great BP's just up the street.

  Good wings, fast & attentive service. Comfy booths. A little dark. Multiple​ floor levels difficult for disabled.
