  Our two children received vouchers/coupons for Pita Pit from the Edmonton Public Library for a free kids pita, as part of a promotion for the Summer Reading Club. The coupons had an expiry date of October 31, 2015 and had a list of "participating locations" on the back, including this one. I went to the restaurant today (September 3, 2015) with my children to redeem the coupons (and to buy some lunch for myself, and drinks for the kids - drinks weren't included on the voucher). Our kids have been diligently reading all summer to earn the coupons, and were really looking forward to their treat! Things went sideways after we ordered, though... The staff member told me that the owner had instructed her to refuse the coupons! I asked for the owner's phone number, and was told to call "Harpreet". I phoned, spoke to the owner, and she said that the library "gave out too many of the coupons". She relented and thankfully my kids were able to get their lunch. We bought our drinks, and a lunch for me, from the McDonalds across the parking lot. If this is how the owner does business, we won't be back. What a horrible memory for our son's birthday. Complaint will be sent to the corporate office too. From the other reviews it looks like I'm not the only parent who has dealt with this issue.

  We go into the Pita Pit at 15351 Castledowns Rd. We have a coupon for a free kid-size petita, from the local library, for our child doing a reading club. The expiry date is Oct 31, 2015 The kid (he says his name is Kannal or something like that) tells me that his boss has instructed him not to take these coupons. He said his boss's name is Harpreet). He also said that the other store at 1929 98 St does not take them neither. So I guess he owns both stores. So we have a coupon that has not expired, but they say they do not take these coupons. Why?   Horrible service. They wont honour coupons that dont expire for another 3 months. Will never support them again, especially at the north location.
