  My girlfriend and I had just finished up a meal to celebrate our 4th Anniversary and thought we'd hit the liquor store and grab our favourite bottle of wine to continue the celebration at our house. This particular location is actually out of our way and there is a "liquor depot" much closer. Since we find the prices are better at Sobeys Liquor and every time we've come to the store before this evening the service has been great, we come back every time we buy alcohol. I stood at the counter waiting to pay for maybe a minute where I could very clearly see someone sitting in the room across from the counter eating chips so I said "excuse me" not in a confrontational or rude way what so ever and got no response. After a few more moments I said "hello" again not in any type of rude way - I have worked in customer service for quite a while myself and can understand what it's like to have a customer be rude to you so I treat everyone I encounter with respect and understanding. The young man came out and VERY rudely said "yeah I'm on my break" and continued to speak very rudely to me and was very confrontational. My girlfriend and I were absolutely blown away that we had gone into a store that we regularly go into to buy liquor and been treated and spoke to this way. I left the bottle of wine on the counter and said " let's go, I do not need to be spoken to in this way" and the clerk continued to say something I honestly did not even hear as I was fuming and absolutely blown away to have had this experience somewhere I was going to spend money. I would absolutely avoid shopping at this location and I would urge everyone I know to do the same based on this experience, which is extremely disheartening as I genuinely did like this store previously. This experience made me happy to go and pay more money for the same bottle of alcohol at "liquor depot" where I was treated like a customer and not a piece of trash.

  Good choice but big prices. The only place where you can find the famous South African beer Castle Lager, that product is at good price.....Great flavor.

  Great store with friendly staff, Oliver recommended a wonderful red wine that has become my wife's favorite. They often have samplings and tastings. Appreciate having a great store in our neighborhood.
